Ice works better than any other anti-inflammatory inflammation. Apply ice for 10 minutes and then 10 minutes long, roundtrip. Naproxen is the next step if you do not want ice. Exercise is the best treatment for worsening of arthritis pain when the muscles are stiff. I would recommend to take a walk. Some pools have programs for arthritis, water aerobics, which are specific for arthritis. There are also other medications you can take, such as Celebrex. Hope this helps, God bless you

There have been many studies done linking diet to treat chronic pain.
Eliminate refined foods, and focus on whole foods.

Bextra is great. Try massage therapy and Contrast: 15 min warm compress, ice pack 10 minutes again. I always end up w cold. It improves circulation, reduces inflammation, provides natural endorphins to alleviate pain.

Ask your physiotherapist for the treatment of pain. There are many modalities of pain management TENS, IFT, UV-treated social service to their pain effectively. and it will have a training program for complete mobility.
